As If It Weighed

如果生命有重量，你會怎麼感受它？

輕者未必輕，重者未必重，

它們停在那裡，像從未離開。

許是殘花，置於廢磚與水泥的基底之上。看似沉重、帶有建築殘骸質地的結構與那些柔軟、輕盈的生命，卻多半已經凋落或失去原有的生長狀態。「提起與放置」成為一種帶有意識的行為——彷彿有人將它們留下，使重量被刻意保留；許是殘蝶與昆蟲，停落於石頭之上。這些石頭同樣並非自然之物，而是被雕刻出的擬像，然而昆蟲的姿態卻更接近自然的終點——墜落、止息、回歸自然。

蝴蝶、殘翼、磚、水泥，或石頭，這些承載之物皆來自同一種材料——木。看似沉重的，其實並不沉；看似輕盈的，卻承載了時間與消逝的痕跡。

在觀看之中逐漸被感知、甚至被構成的經驗，僅有一段似乎已經發生的故事。這段故事，以另一種形式訴說，在這些殘存與承載之間來回觀看，重量或許就在你與它們的距離之中。

If life had weight, how would you feel it?

The light aren't necessarily light,

the heavy aren't necessarily heavy;

they remain there, as if they never left.

Perhaps a withered flower, placed on a base of broken bricks and cement. The seemingly heavy structures, bearing the texture of architectural ruins, and those soft, light lives, have mostly withered or lost their original state of growth. "Lifting and placing" becomes a conscious act—as if someone left them behind, deliberately preserving their weight; perhaps a withered butterfly or insect, resting on a stone. These stones, too, are not natural objects, but sculpted anthropomorphic forms, yet the insect's posture is closer to nature's end—falling, ceasing, returning to nature.

Butterflies, broken wings, bricks, cement, or stones—all these supports originate from the same material: wood. Seemingly heavy, yet not heavy at all; seemingly light, yet bearing the weight of time and the traces of vanishing. The experience gradually perceived, even constructed, through observation is merely a story that seems to have already unfolded. This story is told in another form; by observing these remnants and supports, perhaps the weight lies in the distance between you and them.

記得是在某天夜晚，巷弄裡燈光灰暗，唯有一盞微弱的路燈，照在立鶴花上，此時的幽靜，讓我停留許久。

I remember it was one night, when the alley was dimly lit by only a faint streetlamp shining on the Bush Clockvine. The quietness at that moment made me linger for a long time.

何為「色」? 是物進入內心後所形成的樣態，而非物本身。

美國臘梅只在夏季展顏，而非冬季，有別於一般常見臘梅，它帶有一種溫潤與沉靜，是盛夏時獨有的寧靜氣息。

我正試著分享我內心的夏。

What is "Form"? It is the state formed after an object enters the heart, not the object itself. Eastern Sweetshrub only blooms in summer, not winter. Unlike common wintersweet, it has a kind of warmth and tranquility, a unique peaceful atmosphere in the height of summer. I am trying to share my inner summer.

而今日落於石上，岩石視為時間長河的象徵，恆遠而寧靜，又如無形而輕盈，彼此的關係已不再是常理中的堅硬與脆弱。

Today, resting on stone, the rock becomes a symbol of the river of time, eternal and serene, yet also seemingly intangible and light. The relationship between them is no longer the conventional notion of hardness and fragility.

These seemingly light lives, when actually held in one's hand, possess an indescribable weight—the weight of life's brevity, the weight of fleeting glory.
